PROPOSITION
Shall the
city limits of the City of Elsberry in Lincoln County, Missouri, be extended so
as to embrace and include all the unincorporated area lying within the
following boundary lines and found in Lincoln County:
" Beginning at a point in the Soulard Tract
of U.S. Survey 1706, Township 51 North Range 2 East, 5th Principal Meridian,
Lincoln County Missouri, at the current City of Elsberry City limits where the
Southern line of the Brownsmill Road right-of-way intersects with the Western
line of the BNSF Railway Company right-of-way (f/k/a Burlington Northern
Railroad, f/k/a Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad); thence Southerly
with various courses of the current eastern boundary of the City of Elsberry
City limits to a point where the current eastern boundary of the Elsberry City
limits intersects with the northern boundary line of U.S. Survey 1760; thence
South 60° West
with the northern line of U.S. Survey 1760 3,618.6 feet to the northwest corner
of the U.S. Government NCRS Nursery property; thence South 30° E 987.6 feet to a point; thence
continuing South 30° East to the southern line of State Hwy JJ
right-of-way; thence Easterly with the various courses of the southern line of
the State Hwy JJ right-of-way to the center line of Bluff Road; thence South 26° 27' East approximately 2,000 feet to the
Southwest corner of the U.S. Government NCRS Nursery property; thence North 60° 06' East with the Southern boundary
line of the U.S. Government NCRS Nursery property to the western line of the
State Hwy 79 right-of-way; thence Southerly with the various courses of the
western line of the State Hwy 79 right-of-way to a point where the western line
of the State Hwy 79 right-of-way intersects with the southern boundary line of
U.S. Survey 1820 (MoDOT Station @ 331+75); thence Easterly with the southern
boundary line of U.S. Survey 1820 to the eastern line of the State Hwy 79
right-of-way; thence Northerly with the various courses of the eastern line of
the State Hwy 79 right-of-way to southern boundary line of the U.S. Government
NRCS Nursery property mentioned above; thence North 60° 06' East with Southern boundary line
of the U.S. Government NCRS Nursery property to the eastern line of the BNSF
Railway Company right-of-way; thence Northerly with the various courses of the
eastern line of the BNSF Railway right-of-way to the southwest corner of the
tract of land conveyed to Hammerin' Hole,LLC in Book 1675 Page 411 of the
Lincoln County Recorder of Deeds; thence North 60°
23' 06" East 1,619.97 feet; North 29° 17' 36" East 1,271.12 feet;
thence South 60° West along the North line of Lots 12A, 13, and 16 of
the Mullanphy tract as recorded in survey book "G," page 52 of the
Lincoln County Recorder of Deeds 1,330 feet to a point on the eastern line of
the BNSF Railway right-of-way; thence Northerly with the various courses of the
eastern line of the BNSF Railway right-of-way to a point where a easterly
continuation of the north line of State Hwy CC (also being the dividing
boundary line between property now owned by the Frances Ross Trust And Mayes
Farms, Inc.) intersects with the eastern line of the BNSF Railway right-of-way;
thence Westerly with that continuation line to the western line of State Hwy 79
right-of-way (MoDOT Station @116); thence Southerly with the various courses of
the western line of the State Hwy 79 to the current northern boundary line of
the City of Elsberry City limits; thence North 60° 42' 20" East 211.82 feet with
that boundary line to the western line of the BNSF Railway right-of-way; thence
Southerly with the various courses of the western line of the BNSF Railway
right-of-way to the point of beginning."
